This week’s Manufacturing Monday’s featured product is our coil spring seat bushings – Part#: RP15151. Order a set today and feel the difference!
American Motors is now only a blast-from-the-past make, but many of its unique models are still lovingly maintained by devotees who also love to drive them, including the lithe Javelin pony car, the Matador muscle car and more sedate models.
However, coil spring seat bushings for these cars have been obsolete and unavailable for some time. Given the rubber-encased steel design favored by AMC, the original equipment may be well overdue for replacement after more than four decades.
Rare Parts is stepping in with its Diamond Series® version, an improvement on the original with a heavy-duty greaseable steel-on-steel design that includes a case-hardened shell and cross pin. This should be the last replacement for this purpose your AMC will ever need – and they’re made in the USA.
Here are the models these bushings will fit, names that should conjure some fond memories.
